With Rafael Nadal out of the 2012 US Tennis Open, Roger Federer has become the huge draw for the event, but the two are now tied for having the most ATP World Tour 1000 Masters titles. Nadal also revealed that he's suffering from Hoffa’s Syndrome.
They might be rivals, but Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have a huge respect for each other and now the two are tied as having earned the most ATP World Tour 1000 Masters titles. With Nadal out of the 2012 US Tennis Open, Federer is the very heavy favorite to win.
Even though Andy Murray beat him in a shocker at the 2012 London Olympic Games, Federer is still the one to beat. He just earned another top honor after winning the Masters Cincinnati title to become the first player to win that prestigious crown on five occasions. Right now, his biggest competition is Murray and Novak Djokovic, but I'm betting he leaves the Open with that trophy.
Nadal announced that he is suffering from Hoffa’s Syndrome. The Spaniard has to be relieved to actually know what has been going on that's caused him to withdraw from both the 2012 Olympics and this years Open.. His doctor has said it is not significant, and being able to specifically pin down the problem means being able to provide more appropriate treatments. Many are assuming this will dramatically affect his playing, but this guy's got a lot of spunk and determination so I'm expecting him to explode on the courts once again.
